Work rarely gives out free food, and today alone there was a portion of a pita sandwich and this awesome cookie just sitting there (those are my teeth marks). Ifs it meant for new recruits, it’s mine now! Im also totally loving the selling team, whoever they are.
I think the best free food I've had so far, is when my manager’s manager decided to throw a pizza / chicken wing party around Christmas time. He was like “you guys want pizza and chicken wings for lunch?” “Umm...yes?” And he buys 10 pizzas and a bunch of wings for everyone that didn’t take a Xmas vacation. Awesome!
Any fellow opponauts ever get awesome free work food like this?

I get free donuts every Friday that are usually a day old. I don’t even care.

Ha, I also get to watch Family Feud during lunch here, so that's always a plus! Also found out tomorrow is the chili cook off, or something. Will have to taste test everything....

My boss brought Bojangles Chicken and biscuits one day, along with a case of Bud Light, so that was nice.

We get little snacks frequently whereas full meals happen maybe once a quarter. Frankly, it's the least a company can do when they won't even pay for our coffee. This is a large, profitable company as well, so they have no excuse not to give us coffee (or tea). Today was a great example: didn't make coffee in the morning, didn't have time to stop elsewhere for coffee, did very little this morning.

I’ve never heard of Bojangles, and now I’m sad because it’s a fun word to say and I want to taste their chicken.

It would be better if I had that car with the free food, :).

I hesitate to say who I work for, but I’m betting everyone in the USA has heard of them. But we have to pay for our coffee. I forget how much though. They switched to a company that handles all food stuff for us, and they accept every card except mine, so I just bring my own coffee now.

I bring my own when I can; I think I had forgotten to wash the carafe so I didn’t bother making any this morning.
I always thought coffee/tea should be part of the cost of doing business.

The fried chicken is just okay, but their tenders are great!

It never was here. When I was hired, it was $.40, and you paid via the honor system. Apparently that caused some problems. So when we switched to this vendor, they said they would sell the coffee. Office politics I guess.
